I have used my own second version of herringbone double crochet for this which makes for a completely different and unique texture with a dense weave, making it perfect for cold weather. As of now, I do not know if this version of this stitch exists or not but I haven’t found any information on the World Wide Web yet. Either way, this version of hbdc combined with a grainy stitch, makes for a lovely headband. Experiment with colours and hook away!
