I used a light DK yarn for this project, using about 60 yds in each color, and completed the hat in about 2.5 hrs. Work is done in continuous rounds.

When working in the alternate color work over the other color, dragging it along. In the 8th row, tighten color b to start the inward form of hat.

For less ”seeds” , you can double the number of HDC between them.

Stitch Techniques used: Magic Circle starter, Half Double Crochet, Double Puff Stitch (explained in pattern), Single and Slip Stitches.

Abbreviations:
CA = Color A - base color
CB = Color B - seed color
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DP: Double Puff Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
SLP = Slip stitch
YO = Yarn Over
