Infant Hat and Poncho Set
This set grew out of my desire to make something warm and unique for my new granddaughter. Her mom is a self-described ‘hippie’ and when I finished this set, it was perfect for both of them!
The pattern uses basic stitches – chains, single crochet, double crochet and slip stitches. You don’t need to have extensive experience, but you should be comfortable with working in rounds as well as rows, and changing colors. I do not use abbreviations in my patterns, everything is spelled out, but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via the email address at the end of this pattern.
Additional Gauge info:
- Hat: 8 single crochet stitches = 2 inches; 7 single crochet rows = 2 inches
- Poncho: 7 double crochet stitches = 2 inches; 5 double crochet rows = 3 inches
Additional Yarn Info:
4.5 ounces worsted weight yarn in Color A (Soft Rose by Loops & Threads used for set in pictures)
3.5 ounces worsted weight yarn in Color B (Neopolitan Ombre by Loops & Threads used in pictures)
The above amounts will make a set to fit 3-9 months; if you make the bigger sizes you will need an additional skein of each color.
