Infinite Helix
Infinite are the possibilities! This pattern can be knit using any gauge loom and any size yarn. It can be knit as a snug neckwarmer or a lovely draping infinity scarf. You are limited only by your own imagination and your yarn stash!
This ten-stitch spiral is knit as a flat panel that is joined as you go. The unique curved design begins and ends with flaps that meet in the center and are held by a decorative button.
Loom:Any loom can be used for this pattern. Samples were knit on:
3/8” loom: Small Gauge 2-way Adjustable Kiss loom (+0
washers)
1/2” loom: Small Gauge 2-way Adjustable Kiss loom (+2
washers)
3/4” loom: Regular Gauge 2-way Adjustable Kiss loom (+6
washers)
Yarn:18” cowl on Small Gauge (3/8”) loom – 110 yards
worsted yarn Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Superwash (hand
dyed) used in sample.
25” cowl on Regular Gauge (1/2”) loom – 130 yards worsted
yarn Knit Picks Chroma in Wondermint used in sample.
30” cowl on Large Gauge (3/4”) loom – 125 bulky yarn
Lion Brand Unique in Oasis used in sample.
Gauge:Gauge is not important for this pattern, but is included
for reference.Gauge is measured in garter stitch.
Small Gauge (3/8”) loom – 4.75 stitches x 10 rows per inch
Regular Gauge (1/2”) loom – 4 stitches x 8 rows per inch
Large Gauge (3/4”) loom – 2.75 stitches x 6 rows per inch
