Difficulty: Beginner
Materials:
Size H/8 (5.0mm) (or preferred hook size) (I commonly use my Clover Amour Hooks)
Stitch Marker(s)
Scissors
Tapestry needle
DK Weight Yarn (Light, Size 3) in the brand and colors of your choice.
In this pattern I used: Lion Brand Yarns Mandala in DK 3-Light (100% acrylic, 590yd/540m, 5.3oz/150g), Color: Chimera. I used one whole cake for the scarf portion and then a small amount (approximately .6oz) from a second cake for the tassels. See Design Notes below for further design options.
Gauge:
Gauge is not essential to this project, but tension should be maintained. I simply worked the pattern until all the yarn was gone from one cake.
For a general reference, using Size H/8 (5.0mm) 15 chains of my base chain equaled 4 inches. 8 rows equaled about 4 inches. Each of my diamond links measures about 1-inch x 1-inch (2.5cm x 2.5cm). I did not block this piece.
