Overlay Mosaic Crochet is worked on the right sides only.

When working on your project( blanket, pillow case cover) the right side will always be facing you.
You will cut your yarn at the end of each row and hide the ends into a double border ( if you are making a blanket) or you leave the yarn on the back of your project( no cutting) and pick it up on the other row( when making a pillow cover for example).

Abbreviations (US terms)

CH – (not written in the instructions) the chain stitch is needed at the beginning of each row so you can change color and join the new/other yarn.
SC – Single crochet (single crochet worked in back loop only)
DC – Double crochet (double crochet worked in front loop only 2 rows below)

Size

You can choose to make any size you need just by multiplying the pattern.
For the blanket in the photos the size is 150 cm x 175 cm.

Materials used:

●Pound of Love in White (32 oz/ 908 g/ 2040 yds/ 1864 m)
●Red Heart Ombre in Jazzy (35 oz/ 1090 g/ 1688 yds/ 540 m
●Border in Jazzy: 8 oz/ 226 g/ 386 yds/ 352 m

You will receive written instructions, as well as the chart marked with “X’s”.
Some find using a chart much easier, but others prefer written instructions, so both have been included.

This pattern can be made in any yarn and hook you want, the size of the finished project will depend on your choices. Mosaic patterns work best with contrasting colours. If the colours are too close together in value, the pattern will not be as obvious in the finished piece. It’s best to have a light colour and a dark colour as is used in the photos shown.

I want to thank my tester Malathi Seshadri, whom made a fantastic job with this pattern. Any existent mistake that you may find in the pattern is only my own fault.
