This elegant scarf features a combination of different cables, for an intricate-looking result. It is a great project for those who want to get more comfortable with this technique, and knits up pretty fast.

Finished size is about 25 cm or 10” wide, for a 150 cm or 60” circumference. The length is very easily adaptable, simply add or subtract as many pattern repeats (16 rows each) as necessary.

The pattern includes a chart as well as written-out instructions.

The yarn I used is the Malabrigo “Worsted”, which is a gorgeous hand-dyed merino wool. I used just under 3 skeins of it. I 100% recommend it, but any worsted to aran weight yarn will do. Be sure to check the gauge.
Try to avoid cotton yarns, as they are not ideal for scarves in my opinion, and stick with a solid color (or very slight variations) for best results.
