This simple project is perfect for wearing to the office, throwing over your shoulders on a chilly evening or for making a quick gift. It is an easy knit, with just enough pattern to keep it interesting, and has an easy top-down construction. The name of the project was inspired by an exploding pen incident in the project bag while designing. The good news is that it missed the project and only ruined one skein!

Berroco Abode - 100% Merino Wool, color 8822, 1.75 oz. (50g) 98 yards (90 M); 5 skeins
OR 450 yards of aran weight yarn, preferably with a thick-and-thin texture.
