Inspired by colorful fountain pen inks, this shawlette is perfect for both solid/heathered yarns and higher contrast hand-dyed yarns. A solid/heathered yarn will let the eyelets pop visually, while a more diverse colorway will create a more subtle eyelet look.

Knitting mostly in garter stitch this fabric is easy enough for advanced beginners and a good pattern to follow while watching your favorite TV show or while listening to podcasts.

The shape is a “vortex”, a curved asymmetrical triangle.
