Inner Harbor
This generous shawl was inspired by the saturated tones of Neighborhood Fiber Company’s beautiful merino yarn. Featuring a wave-like texture, each shade fades into the next, providing visual interest on a reversible fabric.
The long sail shape can be styled for a variety of looks. Wear it as a scarf, open cowl, across your shoulders, as a sash, or as a head wrap. Contrasting tassels provide a bit of weight to keep the wrap in place, without the need for a pin.
This meditative knit is perfect for relaxing poolside or fireside during your holidays. And the finished shawl transitions from a head wrap to keep your hair in place during a day out on the water, to an elegant evening accessory that will provide a touch of warmth on a cool summer night.
Additional Materials and Tools
Approximately 2 yards of embroidery floss or other strong decorative thread or yarn that can be tied tightly without breaking, for making tassels. Choose a color that matches one of the colors in your gradient pack.
Digital scale that will measure in grams.
Blocking wires and pins.
Tapestry needle.
Drink coaster or tassel tool.
50% of pattern sales will go to Baltimore Youth Arts.
