I had a lot of small amounts of purple yarn left after completing a big shawl project, so decided to have fun designing lots of different mini teacosies.

You can use your teapots and cosies as a ‘hat’ for the Innocent Age UK Big Knit charity knit www.thebigknit.co.uk or as an egg cosy. They also fit over small eggs like Cadbury’s Creme Eggs for Easter Presents.

The pattern includes instructions for 5 different styles of teacosies- with 5 different colour work patterns/ pictures for the stocking stitch style. There is also a blank chart so you can design your own patterns.

Use double knitting (USA Light Worsted) yarn and 4.5mm(UK size 7, USA size 7) needles.

The teapot can be knit in the round or knit flat- the spout handle and teacosies are all knit flat. Finished Teapots with cosies are about are approximately 8cm (3.1 inches) wide not including handle and spout by 6cm (2.3 inches) tall (not including pom pom).
