The pattern has been updated to include instructions on how to increase the size of the project.

We all know the true struggle of being a knitter: we promise ourselves that we won’t buy any more yarn or start another project until we use the yarn we already have, or start a new project until we finish the many that are on our needles. Well, I’m no different. When I saw The Uncommon Everyday base from The Uncommon Thread at Jimmy Beans Wool (dyed in the store’s exclusive colorway “Arkham Asylum”), it was tempting, and it was no help that the JBW team said, “Chris, make something!” My insatiable desire to design was too much! The result was this shawlette, made up of a slip stitch pattern and eyelets, forming a wearable kerchief suitable for anyone. I guess being impatient, or rather, “Insatient”, pays off!

One skein of The Uncommon Thread: Uncommon Everyday (100% Superwash Merino Wool. 437 yards.) – Jimmy Beans Wool Exclusive: Arkham Nights.
US 4 47” circ needle
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle

GAUGE AND MEASUREMENTS:
54” in wingspan
22.5” from cast on to deepest point
About 10 sts and 21 rows every 2” in stockinette.
(Gauge not critical for project)

PATTERN NOTES: Read the pattern to familiarize yourself before beginning. This pattern is designed to use one skein of sock or fingering yarn to its full use (I had about 18 yards of yarn left), but due to the fact that the border is adjustable to use all the yarn you can, gauge is not truly critical. Extra instructions are written to expand the shawl if you have an extra skein available.
