Insomnious
What is it like to be insomnious? Imagine drifting in and out of sleep, enjoying moments of unconscious bliss and lucidity - then being pulled wide awake into unending waves of thoughts. That’s how I describe my nights of wakefulness. The twilight is quiet and dark but my mind is loud and illuminated, occasionally igniting an artistic spark. Some people believe there is a relationship between creativity and sleep — or lack thereof. If you had to describe in colors or patterns, what would sleep look like to you?
For this scarf, a combination of yarn overs and decreases create wavy textured rows that are encased in i-cord edging. After the length is completed, stitches are picked up and knit along the side to create the final border. A variegated or hand dyed yarn can be used for the main colorway or you may wish to combine different solid yarns to build the waves.
