Inspiralled Blanket
Perfect for hypnotizing a little one to sleep, or for relaxing yourself!
The techniques for this pattern are easy! You only need knit and slipped stitches to create the pattern, and only one colour of yarn is used at a time. This is a great introduction to the techniques used for “mosaic knitting”.
Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the finished size and yardage required.
Instructions are included for any yarn size, to swatch and determine cast on stitches and needle size that work best for your yarn.
Sample shown in DK weight (3) acrylic yarn, using a US 6 - 4mm 40”/101cm circular needle. Gauge for sample is 21 stitches and 39 rows = 4 inches and used approximately 730m/800 yards, with finished dimensions of 26”/66cm square.
Pattern instructions: Written and charted instructions
Pattern Accessibility: The large text file for the pattern is written in 24 point sans serif font (Arial) in all black text. It has no italics. All of the directions are fully written out. A chart is included at the end, but it is not required to complete the pattern.
