For this project, you should be familiar with crochet terms and abbreviations and be able to chain (ch), half-double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc) and work frequent, multiple color changes (explained in pattern). Project requires a size H/8 (5.00MM) crochet hook and approximately 1150 yards of worsted weight yarn for the background, and 400 for the word and border

This pattern includes directions to begin the afghan, which is worked almost entirely in hdc (border is dc) and a chart for the color changes as well as instructions for the border.
