I am often given items to finish knitting or crocheting that are half way finished by people who’s loved ones passed away and want something to remember them by. This pattern was inspired by the most recent scarf I was asked to finish. Unlike a lot of items this one actually had the directions written down and tucked away in the box. As I worked on the scarf I became enamored by how just 4 stitches repeated over and over could create such a wonderfully light and airy scarf. The main thing I like to knit is shawls so as I worked on the scarf I decided to try and see if I could turn the 4 stitches in to a shawl. This is that shawl.

The pattern is written for one skein of sock yarn but can be made much larger, just keep repeating the 4 main rows until desired size is reached.

Finished measurements of sample shawl:
Width at top: 44 inches
Depth from top to bottom: 15
