Intarsia Felted Coasters
by Joy Jannotti
Coasters are a quick knit and an easy way to learn a new technique such as intarsia. Felting the coasters gives the added bonus of hiding any inconsistencies in the work. Coasters are also a good stashbuster project as they use small amounts of yarn.
Coasters are worked in three colors, using 50g or less of each color. Make sure to use a yarn that will felt, including most animal fibers; DO NOT use superwash or machine washable yarn.
