Intarsia I-Cord Hat
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
In E. Zimmermann’s book “Knitting Around” mention was made of Intarsia I-Cord for Circular Knitting which was “unvented” by Kathy Lynch. It stated that you could make a hat using this technique but no actual pattern was given, so I gave it a try. It worked out beautifully. When knitting I-cord circularly, the yarn is left at the left side of the work which is exactly where you want it for knitting Icord in the round. The I-cords stand up around the body of the hat and end in I-cord tassels at the top. I used black for the main color and yellow, blue, red and green for contrasting colors. This hat fits an adult woman but can be resized by changing the gauge. Four contrasting colors are required.
