Interior Hat
Although I call the Fraser Valley home, I have spent much of 2018 travelling through the British Columbia Interior. Mountains are an endless source of inspiration to me—snow-dusted in winter, verdant in summer—and BC delivers on breathtaking alpine views. The colourwork design of this slightly slouchy hat resembles the mountains of this province, in particular the innumerable, craggy peaks of the Interior ranges.
The sample is knit loosely with Yarn Barn 8-ply Merino Wool, a smooshy, cable-plied yarn that comes in a panoply of colours. It can be substituted with any DK weight yarn with a drapey hand. Avoiding long floats, the hat knits up quickly in time for chilly weather.
