Interlocking Chevron Blanket
The Chevron throw pattern is in interlocking filet crochet. The pattern is for an experienced beginner. This pattern is very easy to do but stitch count and positioning are very important to the design in this pattern, so accuracy is needed. I have used Lion Brand Mandala and Lion Brand Pound of Love, for the softness of the yarn and the easy “wash and wear” feature these yarns give to blankets. The pattern is designed so the Chevron throw can be up-sized to a full blanket or downsized to a lap throw by adjusting the number or rows and stitches in the pattern.
I have suggested a 4 mm hook, but depending on your tension you may need to increase or decrease the size.
The Chevron Throw will measure 48” x 68”, but this may increase or decrease depending on your tension and whether you choose a different yarn and hook size than suggested in this pattern.
Definition of Interlocking Crochet: Interlocking Crochet is a method of crocheting and interlocking two layers of filet crochet-style mesh sheets in such a way that the two layers are woven together to create a single, reversible fabric. Depending on the stitch used, it can create the same pattern on the front and back or two completely separate designs on the front and back.
