Intermezzo Shawl
I wear a lot of shawls around the house and studio, so I’m always on the hunt for a new project to cast on. I was looking for a shawl that had a stockinette lower border, since that’s the part that keeps my arms from freezing as I sit at my desk, usually under a ceiling fan. Combined with an easy, but pretty lace pattern that’s simple to memorize, the result is a light and clean look that’s also warm and comfortable.
Shawl is worked from the center top down.
Since the bottom border is knit in stockinette stitch, it’s very easy to customize the size of this shawl. There’s no need to worry about a specified stitch count once the lace portion is completed.
Gauge is not critical for this garment, although if your gauge is different, you may need more yarn.
Additional tools needed:
stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn for lifeline (if needed)
