Intertwined Hat
This pattern is an original design by Deb Kessler of Fearless Fibers.
The hat as shown in the photos is knit with two strands of light fingering weight sock yarn held together, but single strands of DK yarn that knits at the required gauge may easily be substituted.
The hat features three colors knit in a textured slip-stitch pattern. The use of slipped stitches creates the appearance of complexity while only requiring the use of a single color on any given row. Instructions in the pattern include three sizes.
Yarn requirements: Fingering Weight Sock Yarn: 140 to 180 yards (128 to 165 meters) of main color and 90 to 110 yards (82 to 100 meters) each of two secondary colors. The yarn shown in the hat in the photos is Fearless Fibers Superwash Merino.
Needles: One 16” US #5 (3.75 mm) circular needle and one set of US #5 (3.75 mm) douple-pointed needles.
