The Intertwined Mitt is companion to my Intertwined Hat. Both use the same main pattern as appears in my Intertwined sock pattern, one of my most popular.

The medium fingerless mitts provide enough stretch to fit most hands, but if needed a larger size is available by changing needle size.

Skills needed: working in the round, cables (1/1 cables), knit, purl. This is a great pattern to practice cabling without a cable needle. Links to several cabling without a needle tutorials are included in the pattern.

Instructions: Both written and charted instructions are provided.
Note: Specific instructions for color work are not included, but test knitters used the MC for the purl stitches and the CC for the knits (1/1 cables). The thumb was done in 2x2 (2MC, 2CC) knit stitches to avoid long floats.

Size: Difference in size is achieved by using different size needles. 2.25 & 2.5mm needles for Medium, 2.5 and 2.75mm for Large.

Materials

• Approximately 430 yards (393m) of Indigodragonfly Merino/Silk sock yarn (1 skein= 430yd/393m per 3oz/100g), or similar. Sample knit in “Daleks Don’t Give out Pink Slips” colorway.

• 1 set of 5 US #1 2.25mm (2.5 mm, 2.75mm) double-point or circular needles, or size needles required to obtain gauge.

• Tapestry needle, cable needle (optional), stitch marker
