Intertwined Roots Sweater
The “Intertwined Roots” Sweater is knitted in the round from the top down and constructed using raglan increases. It features a detailed repetitive cabled motif on top of the sleeves and calming stockinette for the body. The sleeves are worked straight and create a slight bell sleeve before the fitted cuff. The body has a side split at the hip with the back panel longer than the front one. All “ribbing” is created with a cable motif and bound off using the picot bind-off.
This sweater is intended to be a light-weight garment that at the same time can give a warm coziness when needed. Therefore the “Intertwined Roots” Sweater is a perfect garment for in between-seasons or indoors.
“Intertwined Roots” is inspired by the roots of trees and, based on that, it also gives you an invitation to self-reflection about your own roots and self-care if you want to take it.
