Introduction
The Interview Sweater is consecutive in the series following the Interview Vest. The essence of this line is comfortably relaxed, yet tailored and presentable with twisted rib borders and hems. It is a modified drop shoulder to both provide comfort and reduce the amount of bulk present under the arms. Although roomy with 15 cm (6 inches) of positive ease, the back of the neck and arms utilize shaping with Japanese short rows to ensure a tailored fit. The Interview Sweater is worked from the top down as a saddle shoulder with a novel method for neck shaping to allow for continuity of twisted rib from the collar to the cuff of the wrists without changing directions. There are instructions to make your garment with a folded collar, mock neck, or turtleneck. First, the collar is constructed while seamlessly flowing into the saddle shoulders. Next, you will pick up and work the back of the yoke, shaping the arms. You will work in the same way on the front of the garment utilizing a new neck shaping method. The twisted rib flows seamlessly down the arms, and other stitches will be picked up. There are instructions to finish off the sweater as a closed or split hem in twisted rib stitch.

Size Guide
The Interview Sweater is designed to have 15 cm (6 inches) of positive ease at the bust and be 5 cm (2 inches) wider than your cross back at shoulder measurement, meaning it is meant to be 15 cm (6 inches) larger than your bust circumference and 5 cm (2 inches) wider than your shoulder measurement. I recommend taking your shoulder-to-shoulder measurement and bust circumference into consideration to find the best size for you. The sizes XS, (S), M, (L), XL, (2XL), 3XL, (4XL), 5XL are designed to fit a shoulder-to-shoulder width of 35.5 (36.5) 39 (40) 40.5 (40.5) 41.5 (44) 45.5 cm 14.25 (14.5) 15.5 (16) 16.25 (16.25) 16.5 (17.5) 18.25 inches, and a bust circumference of 71 (81.5) 91.5 (101.5) 112 (122) 132 (142) 152.5 cm 28 (32) 36 (40) 44 (48) 52 (56) 60 inches. The measurements for the finished garment are given on the first page of the pattern.
Before starting, please kindly measure your cross back shoulder width (by measuring the distance between each acromion process) and the largest part of your bust to determine your best size. For example, if your bust circumference is 90 cm (36 inches) and your shoulder to shoulder width is 39 cm (15.5 inches), you should knit size M. Size M has a bust circumference of 104.5 cm (41.75 inches).
Modification note: If your shoulder-to-shoulder width and bust circumference do not fall within the same size, you may select the size closest to your shoulder width, and work more or less arm shaping increases until you reach your desired bust circumference. I also recommend taking your armhole depth into account (see schematic). If you choose to make this modification AND you want to work a split rib hem, your total bust stitch count must be a multiple of four. If your shoulder-to-shoulder width is larger than your bust measurement, take care not to size up more than two sizes to accommodate your shoulder measurement without accounting for the possibility of extra fabric presenting at the armhole.
