Interview Vest
Introduction
The Interview Vest is a quick knit for advanced knitters or a great first project for beginners. Hitting at the hips, it has a relaxed fit, yet clean, polished finishes such as the twisted rib hem that can be dressed up or down for the modern woman. Consider wearing it with a relaxed button up, or a form fitting tee to show off your figure with the deep-set armholes. First, the back of the panel is worked before constructing each shoulder, and finally, by joining in the round and working the body. A split rib hem is worked on the bottom of the body, matching the armholes and the double folded collar. A tubular bind-off is the final finish to complement these clean details.

Size Guide
The Interview Vest is designed to have approximately 21 cm (8.5 inches) of positive ease at the hip, meaning it is meant to be 21 cm (8.5 inches) larger than your hip circumference. Additionally, it is meant to have 0.5 cm (0.25 inches) of negative ease at the shoulders. Because the style has an open chest, I recommend taking your shoulder width and hip circumference into consideration to find the best size for you. The sizes XS, (S), M, (L), XL, (2XL), 3XL, (4XL), 5XL are designed to fit a shoulder width of 36 (37) 39.5 (40.5) 41.5 (41.5) 42 (44.5) 46.5 cm 14.5 (14.75) 15.75 (16.25) 16.5 (16.5) 16.75 (17.75) 18.5 inches and a hip circumference of 82.5 (88.5) 99 (109) 119.5 (129.5) 141 (153.5) 165.5 cm 33 (35.5) 39.5 (43.5) 47.75 (51.75) 56.5 (61.5) 66.25 inches. The measurements for the finished garment are given on the first page of the pattern.
Because every body is built perfectly differently, I recommend referencing the hip and shoulder width measurements and choosing a size that matches your largest circumference. Before starting, please kindly measure the largest part of your hip circumference and the back of your shoulders between the acromion processes to determine your best size. For example, if your hip circumference is 99 cm (39.5 inches) and your shoulder-shoulder width is 40 cm (16 inches), you should knit size M. Size M has a hip circumference of 120 cm (48 inches), giving you 21 cm (8.5 inches) of positive ease. If you would like a more shapely fit, feel free to size down. This vest has deep-set armholes. If you prefer a more shallow armhole, you may choose to pick up less stitches in the armhole edge when working the armhole rib hem edges. Additional details to follow in the “Armhole Edges’’ section.
