The pattern for these socks was inspired by a combination of
ancient neolithic designs and my love of blending colours
together. As the pattern emerged it reminded me of staring
into the flames in the fireplace, something that must have
been familiar to all humans from the neolithic until today.

I have knitted these socks primarily in Drops Nord, a very soft
sock yarn blend of alpaca and wool. However, any 4-ply sock
yarn will do.

Yarn quantities are the maximum estimated based on the larger size:
Colour 1: Red 75 g / 250 m / 275 yards
Colour 2: Yellow 25 g / 100 m / 110 yards
Colour 3: Orange 10 g / 40 m / 45 yards
