Into The Stream is a lace weight crescent shawl, knitted from the lace edging up to the garter stitch short rows. The pattern takes its inspiration from a stream near my home, starting at the stones and tall grasses on the bank, moving through the bubbles and eddying cables to the flowing garter stitch section. Make it with a wool or wool-blend yarn to block the lace open and show off the beauty of the design.

The pattern uses charts for the lace and cable section. The short row garter section of the pattern uses written instructions.

The design has also been tested using fingering weight yarn, making a slightly larger shawl.
