This hood is available in three sizes: child (2/4 years), boy and adult. It is made starting from the bottom with circular needles. It is worked in the round up to the opening for the face, then it is worked flat in rows. At the opening you can proceed in two ways: the simplest one (Version 1), dedicated to beginners, includes a garter stitch side edge and a three-needle bind off; the more “refined” one (Version 2), dedicated to the more experienced, includes a tubular side edge, German short rows and an invisible needle bind off (grafting).

Yarn: 150 (150, 200) g of SESIA Echos (70% wool, 30% alpaca; 50g = 50m).
Needles and materials: 8mm circular needles 40cm long for the smallest size, 60cm for the two largest sizes, three stitch markers, tapestry needle. For “Version 1” you will also need an additional 8mm needle (circular, straight or double-pointed) for the three-needle bind off. For “Version 2” you will need two 8mm (or smaller) double-pointed needles to separate the two layers of the tubular stitch before binding off, and two pins or stitch holders.
Sample: 10cm = 12 stitches and 16 rows/rounds worked in stockinette with suggested needles.

Il cappuccio “Into the Wood” è disponibile in tre taglie: bambino 2/4 anni, ragazzo e adulto. Si realizza partendo dal basso con i ferri circolari. Si lavora in tondo fino all’apertura per il viso, quindi si procede in ferri di andata e ritorno. A questo punto è possibile procedere in due modi: quello più semplice (Versione 1), dedicato alle principianti, prevede un bordo laterale a legaccio ed una chiusura a tre ferri; quello più “raffinato” (Versione 2), dedicato alle più esperte, prevede un bordo a maglia tubolare, ferri accorciati alla tedesca ed una chiusura invisibile con ago.

Filato: 150 (150, 200) g di SESIA Echos (70% lana, 30% alpaca; 50g = 50m).
Ferri e materiale: ferri circolari da 8mm lunghi 40cm per la taglia più piccola, 60cm per le due taglie più grandi, tre marcapunti, ago da lana, per la “Versione 1” servirà, inoltre, un ferro libero (circolare, diritto o a doppia punta) da 8mm per la chiusura a tre ferri, per la “Versione 2” serviranno invece due ferri a doppia punta da 8mm o di calibro inferiore, per separare i due strati della maglia tubolare prima della chiusura, e due spille o ferri porta maglie.
Campione: 10 cm = 12 punti e 16 ferri/giri lavorati a maglia rasata con i ferri indicati
