The featured stitch is made up of Double Crochets, so it works up quickly and easily. Granny squares are very versatile and can be used to make a variety of items. It is a staple in every crocheter’s arsenal.
In this pattern, I will show you the basics of the granny square. Then, I will show you how to assemble the simple square into a tote bag or a tablet sleeve. Or continue the square to your desired size for an adorable baby blanket.
Tablet Sleeve: 175-200 yds worsted weight yarn
Tote bag: 200-250 yds worsted weight yarn
Baby blanket: 250-1500 yds worsted weight yarn
