Inveraray Castle is the hereditary home of the Duke of Argyll, Chief of Clan Campbell. The tartan of Clan Campbell is the historical inspiration for the argyle pattern found in this shawl.

Credit to Jay Petersen for creating the Lace Twist-Stitch Argyle stitch pattern used in the outer panels.
