Ionian Ripple Blanket
This pattern was inspired by the Peacock Blanket made by Heather of The Patchwork Heart. It was in shades of blue and green and I thought, “I could do something with that.” In May 2017 I went to Kefalonia (a Greek Island in the Ionian Sea) and I was amazed by all the colours in the sea. I found the textured ripple stitch, which seemed very appropriate. There are several YouTube tutorials and I have included a link to one in the pattern. I can find very little made with this stitch and thought my blanket was sufficiently different to justify its own pattern. The yarn colours used are:
3 x 100g balls of silver, 1 x 100g ball in each of the following colours: petrol, sherbet, duck egg, denim, grey, teal, sage, turquoise, lobelia, cloud blue, aster, lincoln, lapis and bluebell.
