This is a really flexible pattern -- I never checked the gauge, just measured it against the iPod! Even if you can’t do that, though, if you use some kind of sock yarn with a bit of stretch, you’ll be fine. It doesn’t really matter if it turns out a bit tight or a bit loose as long as the iPod fits.
