iPood Pants
Nappy pants, or ‘soakers’ as they are known in the States, are a brilliant practical project for those with babies to knit for.
Adorable soakers with their humorous motif make a great gift for a new mum.
Whether you smile or groan at the knitted pun, you can’t deny that these soakers are an eye-catching addition to baby’s wardrobe. They are knitted in soft yarns that are machine washable. There are two versions to choose from, the cream colourway is ideal for little boys, while Version two, the pink soakers feature a pretty mock picot edging around the leg cuffs.
You can use any DK weight yarn that is comfortable for baby. If you use natural fibres such as wool and cotton, your pants will also be absorbent, win! Just make sure the yarn you choose, can be thrown in the washing machine.
Not a fan of intarsia? Simply swiss darn (duplicate stitch) the motif on at the end.
