I named the Iracebeth Beanie after the Red Queen from “Through the Looking Glass”, because the colors I originally worked it up in just looked like her.

This is a beautiful and versatile beanie, and the color choices are endless. Don’t like the plaid? Do it with stripes instead. Don’t like color changes? It works up great in a solid color. Want more of a plaid pattern? Just alternate the plaid rounds with different colors. This beanie is like a blank canvas waiting for your artistic input.

This is a pretty easy pattern that works up quickly, so get your hooks ready and lets have some creative fun.

Materials:
– Any size 4 yarn will probably work; I use Red Heart Super Saver and I Love This Yarn. You need at least 3 colors.
– Size H/8 5.00mm Crochet Hook and Size J/10-6.00mm (I use Boye)
– Tapestry Needle
– Faux Fur Pompom, or a pompom maker. I prefer the Faux Fur Pompom with a sew on snap to make it removable for cleaning. I buy mine from Furling Pom Poms on Amazon.
– Sewing needle and thread for attaching the snap for the pompom
