Iraty is a ribbed sweater similar to a sock sweater. It is knitted from top to bottom seamlessly in 5/2 rib. We start by knitting the collar and then the raglan yoke and shortened rows to slightly hollow out the neckline. The body (back and front) is then worked together in the round. The sleeves are worked in the round.

GAUGE: 24 sts x 28 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in 5/2 rib with larger needles.

YARN: this cardigan is knitted with two strands of lace and fingering weight held together.
Approximately 1180 (1300 - 1320) 1400 (1540 - 1710) 1850 (2020 - 2160) yards or 880 (1010 - 1240) 1350 (1580 - 1880) 2000 (2130 - 2460) m of each yarn in total.
If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.

NOTIONS: needles sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 (rib), 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches and 10 stitches markers.

NOTES: the pattern is knitted using Soft silk Mohair color cloud (kid silk mohair - 25g = 225m) from Knitting for Olive and Numero 1 naturel (100g = 400m) from Maison Septembre.

Recommended ease: 0 to 4 inches or 0 to 10 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add your desired ease, then pick the finished bust circumference closest to that number.
Sample is shown in size 3 with 1.5 inches or 4 cm of positive ease.
It is quite easy to play blocking with the flat rib stitch to have more or less ease depending on the desired effect.

Iraty est un pull côtelé proche du pull chaussette. Il est tricoté de haut en bas sans couture en côtes plates. On commence par tricoter le col puis l’empiècement en raglan et des rangs raccourcis pour creuser légèrement l’encolure. Le corps (dos et devants) est ensuite travaillé ensemble en rond. Les manches sont travaillées en rond.

Tour de poitrine du vêtement terminé environ 78 (85 - 96,5) 101,5 (114 - 126) 131 (137,5 - 149) cm.

ECHANTILLON : 24 m x 28 rgs pour 10 x 10 cm en côtes plates 5/2.

LAINE : le modèle se tricote avec deux fils tenus ensemble : un fil de type fingering et un fil de type lace.
Environ 880 (1010 - 1240) 1350 (1580 - 1880) 2000 (2130 - 2460) m de chaque fil.
Mais il est aussi possible de le tricoter avec un seul fil de type DK.

MATERIEL : aiguilles suggérées n° 3 (côtes) et n°4 (corps et manches), une aiguille à laine, câbles pour mettre les mailles en attente et 10 anneaux marqueurs.

Il est conseillé de le porter avec une aisance positive de 0 à 10 cm. Pour choisir la meilleure taille, mesurer le tour de poitrine et ajouter l’aisance souhaitée, puis choisir la circonférence de poitrine finie la plus proche de ce nombre. Il est bien sur possible de choisir d’avoir un tricot plus ou moins près du corps et de tricoter une taille avec plus ou moins d’aisance que préconisée.
Il est présenté en taille 3 avec 4 cm d’aisance.
Il est assez facile de jouer au blocage avec le point de côtes plates pour avoir plus ou moins d’aisance selon l’effet souhaité.
