Irene Shawl
The triangular shawl is knit from the top down in a fingering weight yarn. It is based on a simple yet stylish moss stitch pattern bordered by a broad garter stitch edge. The unusual increases add just the perfect finish to the shawl. The pattern is ideal for beginners and it would be a great introduction to basic shawl knitting. Choose a nice hand dyed yarn for the project to obtain a truly classic fashion statement.
I finished knitting the shawl while waiting for the storm Irene to hit New York.
ERRATA:
Row 12 of the setup rows says knit across 22 stitches. It should be 26 sts.
