Iridescent Crescent
A swirling crescent of rainbow stripes inspired by little patches of bright color on insect wings.
It’s a challenging knit with lace stitches on RS and WS rows, stranding, intarsia, and long multicolored rows - a good project for using up leftovers of interesting colors or variegated yarns.
Iridescent Crescent is also available as part of the Five Colorwork Shawls eBook.
Originally published in four instalments as a mystery knit-along pattern in early 2015. There is a thread for the KAL here.

Shorter lengths can be spliced together into gradations; the longest intarsia sections require approximately 6m/6.5yds.
