A simple, contemporary design suitable for girls or boys aged 8-16, depending on your choice of yarn. Some Ravelers have asked whether the design works in a plain colour, so I’ve done a version in plain grey to show how it looks on a boy.

The design relies on the natural curl of stocking stitch, so does not even require blocking, but gives your child a loose, comfortable fit which dresses up or down.

The yarn is only loosely-spun to give a soft, casual effect, and regardless of colour, it is recommended that you keep to this type of finish. Would look great in the coloured stripes of the Cleckheaton California, or in a plain neutral.

All you need to make this up is a set of 6mm needles and a darning needle.
