A perfect gift idea too ♥
The iris warmer begins with textured back, then transfers to much wider lace part. The construction of this crochet garment is worked sideways neck increases/decreases, at the end joined with slip stitch seam.
Skill level: easy and involves crochet skills only
Pattern is written for sizes:
Toddler, Child and Adult;
Sample shown in size child
Finished measurements
circumference – 18 (17, 20)” / 47 (48, 50) cm slightly streched, by 41/2” / 11 cm height;
measurements were taken without blocking
Materials
any worsted weight yarn (# 4 medium), for your reference I used Drops Nepal in dusty pink (# 3720) and light grey (# 500), (65% wool, 35% alpaca, ), 1.75 oz / 82 yds, (50g / 75 m):
MP - main pink – approx 67 (69, 71) yds / 61 (63, 65) m
CG - contrast grey – small amount
Needles and hooks
size H / 5mm crochet hook
Notions
tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge
18 dc x 11 rows of lace patt = 4” (10cm) in lace patt and size US H / 5mm crochet hook
