Irish Cream
Choosing Yarn
This design will work best with a solid to lightly variegated yarn. Heavily variegated and hand painted yarns will blur the lace detail.
Construction
Irish Cream is worked from the top down (rows get longer as you go). All the patterning is done on the right side. Wrong side rows are your “rest” rows and are purled straight across. Three lace patterns flow gracefully into one another. The last lace pattern (section three) can easily be extended for a larger shawl.
Conclusion
When you’re done knitting your Irish Cream shawl relax with the drink it was named for. Irish Cream is one of the ingredients in a frozen mudslide milkshake. The Recipe can be found on the last page of the pattern.
