Irish lace warm hat beret
In this pattern I will show you how to make a beret (hat) in Irish Crochet Lace technique. It is an old technique to make a clothes dividing by procedure.
This pattern includes:
- written instructions of each motif, and a photo of each row.
- charts
- of each motif, schemes and a photo of each row.
Skill level:
- Intermediate.
Procedure:
- Take all measurements
- Make a drawing. When I work on items such a top or blouse, I skip this step because I assemble them on a dummy tailor’s mannequin.
- Crochet needed motifs.
- Wash and steam the motifs.
- Apply motifs on the Styrofoam tablet or mannequin wrong side up. Put them, following mine composition or put them at your own way, and create your own unique design.
- Assemble, filling the spaces between motifs with Irregular mesh (background, netting, filling). Or put motifs without any space and join with needle at connection points.
- Remove all pins. Wash and steam ready item.
- Wear in with pleasure and be proud of yourself.
