Irish Moss Baby Blocks
This blanket is a fun knit, utilizing Knit and Purl Stitches all the way through. The blocks are textured and knit all as one and there is no seaming. The coordinating color adds a striping effect that is optional. About 350 yards of the main color and 25 yards of the coordinating color were used for the stroller size.
I like a loose airy blanket and used a size 8 needle for this blanket. However I am an extremely loose knitter! Many knitters will use a size 8 and get a tighter gauge than mine. They may even want to go up to a size 10 needle if they prefer the lighter fluffier look and feel for their baby blankets.
This pattern may look complicated but it most definitely is not and will be a huge hit as a gift at your next baby shower!
