The Irish Sweetheart Sweater is a modern take on the traditional Irish Aran Sweaters. It is knit top down with drop shoulder construction. The back panel is knit back and forth firstly, then, each shoulder is then individually picked up and increases are made to construct the collar, the shoulders are then joined in the front and knit until the whole body is ready to be joined in the round. The sweater is then knit in the round and finished with 1x1 ribbing. Stitches are then picked up for the folded collar, which is completed in 1x1 ribbing. And, finally sts are picked up for the sleeves until they are knit to length and finished in 1x1 ribbing.

The sweater boasts a cable pattern all over inspired by Irish sweaters from the Aran Isles. Cable patterns are written in both text and chart formats. The pattern includes information for both cropped and full length fits.
Pattern also includes a “Row-by-Row” document which details the construction for each size on a row-by-row basis in order to keep track of progress.
