Isadora Duncan
Who says a shawl can’t have more than one edging? Or that shawls need to be knit in fine weight yarns? Not me!
This piece started as a stashbuster and the original yarn (Bernat Mosaic) has been discontinued. If you like the multicolored effect, a suitable substitute is Noro Taiyo or Kureyon. I also knit another using Plymouth Galway and 6.0mm needles at a gauge of 12sts/24rows = 4”, before blocking. While not as brilliantly colored as the Mosaic one, the lace is much more open and has a bit softer look to it. As always, knitter’s choice!
Isadora Duncan is knit in various garter st lace patterns, one of which has both right side and wrong side patterning. I don’t recommend this as a first lace project.
