This masterclass is aimed at INTERMEDIATE crocheters and may not be suitable for beginners.

The masterclass is written in US terms, with UK equivalents provided in the abbreviations list.

♦What you’ll get:

The Masterclass describes in great detail, all of the necessary methods and techniques required for crafting “Isadore” – a Waldorf style crochet doll and her fully removable outfit, comprised of a dress, lace frill cotton socks and a pair of shoes.

In addition to the required amigurumi techniques, this masterclass will teach you how to make a crochet wig cap and root hair strands - with guidance on achieving several different hairstyles for your doll - an in depth explanation is provided for the “bunches” style pictured in the listing.

You will learn how to make realistic eyebrows and safely and securely attach doll lashes.

You will also be shown how to achieve the required sewing techniques for invisibly attaching the ears and the method for making shank style buttons.

Finally, you will learn how to bring your doll to life, using needle sculpting and blushing and toning techniques.

Using the suggested materials and techniques, this pattern will yield a doll of approximately 40cm

The pattern is split into two digital PDF files, one for the doll and one for her outfit.

The doll file is 82 pages long and contains 200 high resolution images

The clothing file is 22 pages long and contains 90 high resolution images

• One pair of plain black, 12mm safety eyes

• An awl – to help carefully stretch the stitches and enable the eye posts to pass through with ease – a knitting needle can also be used – start small to avoid creating a hole bigger than the eye shaft itself!

• Stuffing – I use high loft, carded polyester
• Stitch markers x6, to help with placement of eyes and nose and for tracking the beginning of the round
• Fabric glue – for securing the eyelids outer edge/extra security for the sewn lashes and tacking the eyebrows in place – choose one that dries clear
• A long doll needle for face sculpting – at least 174mm long (I use needles by Hemline)

• Makeup brushes – I use a foundation brush, a lip brush and an eyeshadow brush to tint this doll.
• Soft pastels (non oil based) for face and body toning
I use Winsor & Newton pastels – mixing shades to suit the skin tone of the doll from the following colours:
Ochre
Medium brown
Deep Red
White
Black

• Cling film or an old pillowcase to protect your dolls body from staining and stray fibres when cutting the hair

• Two needles with large eyes, for sewing various pieces – one sharp and one blunt - and a standard sewing needle
• Standard sewing thread in colours to match your eyelashes, eyebrows and wig cap
• Pet slicker brush or back comb (for people) to brush out the eyebrows
• Doll lashes – 20cm long and 1cm wide.
• Ribbons or bobbles to secure your dolls hairstyle
• Standard sewing thread in colours to match your buttons
