Island Retreat
Do you need some knitting time with your toes in the sand and drink in your hand?
On July 1st we will continue our year of Mystery travels in Tahiti and the Society Islands. As we explore this island paradise on our “virtual retreat” we will create a two color crescent shawl with some amazing lace, slipped stitches and optional beadwork all done on an exquisite cashmere blend fingering weight. We will be creating this exquisite shawl while we get to know all about island life, their history, people and food (and drinks).
And as with any great retreat, there will be lots of fun and prizes along the way.
Once again our friends at Stunning String Studio are offering limited “Island Retreat” MKAL yarn kits including yarn in your choice of over 80 amazing colors, beads and stitch markers.
Our lovely shawl is created from two contrasting colors of luscious fingering weight yarn. Beading is optional, but a great introduction to using beads.
The clues will be spread out over 8 weeks with simple, non-stressful sections released each week. If you’ve never done a Mystery Knit Along before, you are in for a treat. Discovering the mystery along with your fellow knitters is the best.
The MKAL discussions will be in the Wild Prairie Knits group, so come and join us.
This pattern is knitCompanion® supported. What does that mean?
