Islandströjan
by Uuve Snidare
Three different yarns are suggested yarns for this sweater, they are interchangeable.
This is one version of a common fisherman’s sweater (jumper). It is called Icelandic in the book, but the pattern is common all over the Nordic countries and cannot be attributed to Iceland alone.
The book gives instructions for knitting in the round up to the arms and then we are instructed to split the project and knit the top parts of the front and back separately.
Yardage is given as follows:
White: 700 grams - 700 grams - 800 grams
Dark grey: 500 grams - 500 grams - 600 grams
Pattern includes diagram, but has one small error.
