Islay
Mary Henderson has chosen an exquisite palette of colours for her tank top. Following the traditional Fair Isle method of construction, the top is knitted in one piece in the round, with steeks inserted for the arm and neck openings. The steeks are then cut open and reinforced with crochet, and the edgings finished with multi-coloured ribbing. Mary has used Jamieson and Smith’s 2ply Jumper Weight wool from Shetland, which is a classic choice for Fair Isle projects.
