Fine Italian merino/silk tweed yarn, delicate magic of Shetland knitted lace resembling the frosty patterns on the window, the interplay of light on a sea wave, dainty quill drawing, as well as the legendary Isle of Skye - that’s what inspired me to create this stole.

I offer you a lace stole which is worked in one piece.The work begins with a lower border, then stitches are picked up along the straight edge of the lower border, and the center and the side borders are worked at the same time. When the stole reaches the desired length, the top border is worked and joined (at the same time) to the live stitches of the central section across the stole from the right side to the left. This stole length and width are adjustable. Using this pattern, you can also knit a square-shaped shawl instead of a rectangular stole.

Yarn: Lace weight (800-1500 m/100 g) approximately 1500-2000 m. The exact yardage depends on the desired size of the stole.

Yarna Твид Италия, 80% merino wool/20% silk; 1550 m/100 g; colorway 7, 0.85 skein = 1275.0 meters (1394.4 yards), 85 grams. The shawl size after blocking is 127 x 127 cm. Its horizontal borders count 52 ‘teeth’, the vertical ones counts 43 ‘teeth’.

Difficulty level: intermediate.

Skills required: reading charts; garter-stitch lace knitting; familiarity with pattern-every-row knitting; provisional cast on; picking up stitches along edges; grafting.

Exact gauge is not critical for this project and may vary depending on the yarn and needles of your choice.

Needles and notions: Straight or circular needles 2.5-3.0 mm; stitch markers; tapestry needle; waste yarn; blocking pins.

Я предлагаю вашему вниманию ажурный палантин с цельновязанной каймой.
Сначала выполняется нижняя часть каймы, затем по краю поднимаются петли из кромочных и центральная часть палантина вяжется одновременно с правой и левой частью каймы.
Когда палантин достигнет нужной длины, по верхнему краю также привязывается кайма от правого края к левому.

Материалы. В качестве пряжи я рекомендую использовать тонкую шерсть, 800 - 1500 метров в 100 гр.

Расход зависит от того, какой размер готового изделия вы хотите получить. Лучше иметь в запасе примерно 1500 - 2000 метров.

Уровень сложности средний. Для успешного выполнения необходим навык чтения схем, вязания платочного узора и ажурного узора как .в лицевых, так и в изнаночных рядах. Необходимо уметь набирать петли из кромочных и на бросовую нить, а также выполнять трикотажный шов.

Плотность вязания: может варьироваться в зависимости от толщины выбранной вами пряжи и номера спиц.

Рекомендована пряжа: 800 - 1500 метров в 100 граммах.

Необходимые инструменты: спицы № 2,5 - 3,0 прямые или круговые, маркеры, гобеленовая игла, набор булавок для блокировки.
